The Tinderbox vineyard is perched at the entrance to the d’Entrecasteaux Channel, on top of Triassic sandstone, with sweeping views across to Bruny Island and Storm Bay.

Here, in these beautiful wilds of southern Tasmania, unrelenting wildlife pressure is also a feature.

Regrettably, our 2024 crop at Tinderbox was decimated by animals in the night and avian sleuths by day, resulting in a mere single barrel of salvaged fruit. We therefore present the 2024 Tinderbox Pinot Noir in a different light, still true to its site, but a reminder of the grower’s plight.
